Brad Neighbors Shares Risk Considerations Related to COVID-19 at Alabama Bankers Association’s Leadership Conference

Brad Neighbors, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Banking & Financial Services Practice, presented at the Alabama Bankers Association’s Bankers 2 Leaders (B2L) Leadership Conference on September 17, 2020 in Destin, Florida.

Brad joined industry leaders to present as part of the “Hot Topics” panel and shared insights on risk considerations for banks related to COVID-19. Brad explained how the implementation of work-from-home capabilities using virtual private networks, virtual conferencing services and other remote telecommunication technologies can increase cybersecurity vulnerabilities. “These new or expanded connections need to be properly configured, secured and appropriately monitored to mitigate risk,” shared Brad.

The B2L Conference brings together banking professionals for a 3-day event that allows attendees to learn from top leadership presenters and motivators from throughout the country. The conference highlights trending topics in the areas of communication, interpersonal skills, time management and peer mentoring.

Brad counsels financial institutions in all aspects of the financial services industry, including regulatory compliance, vendor risk management, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and new bank formation. He has a wide range of financial institution clients, from community banks to large regional banks. He also has clients who are non-bank financial institutions, such as credit unions, finance companies or other businesses that are not typically considered financial institutions but offer in-house financing for their own goods and services.
