With economic recovery top of mind for many, Balch & Bingham’s Cyrus Chin recently had the opportunity to organize and moderate a panel discussion on the current state of the business landscape in Texas.
Hosted by the Houston Bar Association’s International Law Section, Cyrus was joined by Michael Treyger, Deputy Director at the Office of the Governor of Texas, Susan Davenport, Senior Vice President at the Greater Houston Partnership, and Mario B. Rego of DLA Piper LLP.
Cyrus and his fellow panelists offered guidance for international businesses looking to enter into the Texas business market. They discussed various benefits of incorporating or moving a business to Texas, including the benefits of accessing the diverse and skilled Texas workforce, current and pending regulatory developments that may positively impact your business, tax incentives, current and pending legislative actions, developing business sectors, and losses and opportunities in a post-COVID world.
