Balch Lawyer Rachel Kubanda Appointed to the Houston Bar Association's Special Olympics Committee

Balch & Bingham‘s Rachel Kubanda, attorney in the Houston office and member of the financial services practice, has been appointed to the Houston Bar Association’s Special Olympics Committee for the 2021-2022  year. 

The Special Olympics Committee assists the Houston Bar Association in carrying out its mission of serving others and enhancing the legal profession. As a member of the committee, Rachel will plan and execute community outreach and member services for the HBA specific to the Special Olympics.

At Balch, Rachel focuses on corporate reorganizations and restructurings, creditors’ rights and trustee representation. She received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law and B.S. from John Carroll University. During her time at South Texas College of Law, Rachel served on Law Review as the Articles Editor and the Assistant Editor in Chief & Managing Editor. Rachel is recognized as a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star and served as a former intern for the Honorable Jeff Bohm of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. She is an active member of the Houston Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers and the Association of Women Attorneys.
