Brandon N. Robinson Joins Panel at the 2022 Tennessee Environmental Network Show of the South

Brandon N. Robinson, partner in Balch’s Birmingham office and chair of the firm’s Data Privacy & Security Practice, will present alongside other industry professionals as part of a panel at the Tennessee Environmental Network Show of the South (TENSOS) on May 12, 2022 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

The session will provide an overview and discussion of resiliency from the perspectives of electric grid reliability and protecting critical infrastructure from extreme weather and other natural disasters. Panelists will discuss strategies for assessing vulnerabilities to facilities and assets, action plans to mitigate climate risks, and engineering solutions to enhance resilience.

The Tennessee Environmental Network conference is the largest, most comprehensive and diverse environmental education opportunity in Tennessee. Over the three-day event, TENSOS will host an elite group of environmental professionals seeking to exchange knowledge and share ideas around environmental concerns in Tennessee and across the Southeast region.

Brandon represents clients in a variety of industries with respect to energy, cyber security and data privacy, and emerging technologies.  Specifically, as a member of the Energy Practice, Brandon represents energy companies in a wide variety of matters, including issues before FERC and NERC related to: electric reliability, smart grid, physical security, electric transportation, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and other generation and transmission issues.  As chair of the firm’s Data Privacy and Security Practice, Brandon also counsels clients in a wide variety of industries to proactively manage data privacy- and security-related risks and compliance while maintaining innovative customer service.  He serves as regulatory and transactional counsel on a wide range of projects associated with innovative and emerging technologies, including technologies such as drones, blockchain, fiber/broadband, and artificial intelligence.  Brandon services as editor of two of the firm’s blogs: the Data Privacy and Security Observer and the Electric Reliability Law blog. He has spoken on these topics at conferences around the country and has been quoted in publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal to Law360 to Business Alabama and more.
