Balch & Bingham Welcomes Kelsi Long to Energy, Data Privacy and Security Practices

Balch & Bingham is pleased to welcome Kelsi Long to the firm’s Birmingham office as an attorney in the Energy, Data Privacy and Security Practices. Kelsi routinely advises clients on corporate formation, strategic acquisitions and data breach disclosures, and guides clients through due diligence and contract negotiations. She works closely with clients' legal and business teams within the energy sector, supporting day-to-day commercial agreements and providing counsel on the data privacy and security regulatory landscape.

Kelsi earned her dual J.D./MBA degree from The University of Alabama School of Law and her MBA from the University of Alabama Manderson Graduate School of Business, summa cum laude. Throughout law school, Kelsi served as the senior editor of Law & Psychology Review and was the treasurer of the Public Interest Student Board and Black Law Students Association’s (BLSA) as well as a member of BLSA’s International Negotiations Team. She currently serves as a fellow in the Blackburn Institute, a leadership development and civic engagement program specifically focused on improving the state of Alabama.
