Accomplished Litigator Audrey Momanaee Joins Balch & Bingham in Houston to Lead Texas Litigation Practice

Balch & Bingham is pleased to announce that Audrey Momanaee, a highly accomplished trial lawyer, has joined the Houston office to lead the firm’s Litigation Practice in Texas. Audrey brings more than 15 years of experience representing clients across many industries in the state and federal courts of Texas and arbitrations both domestic and international. She has extensive experience representing companies in the energy industry as well as manufacturing, construction and healthcare. 

Audrey focuses on matters involving business disputes, commercial claims, catastrophic property claims, construction defects and delays and matters involving trade secret protection and litigation. She also handles internal investigations for clients in the energy sector.

In 2019, Audrey was recognized by the National Diversity Council as one of “Top 50 Women Lawyers” and was named a member of the “Top Women Lawyers” class by the Texas Diversity Council in 2021. Since 2014, she has been named a Texas Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers for Business Litigation. She was named a Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation, recognized as one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Audrey serves as a member of the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Board of Directors, is an advocate and routinely provides pro-bono legal services to those in Houston. She serves as a member of the Houston Community Family Center Board of Directors, which offers community-based social and educational services to low-income families in Houston’s East End. She also serves as a member of the Houston Association of Women Attorneys Board of Directors, an organization composed of attorneys, judges, and law students with the goal of promoting women and the interests of women in Houston’s legal community.  Additionally, she is a member of the Women’s Energy Network and former national board member of the Iranian American Bar Association.

A Texas native, Audrey earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and her B.S. from Texas A&M University. 

Balch’s footprint in Texas includes an office in Houston, opened in 2020, with attorneys who have significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, energy transactions, private securities offerings and transactions, real estate, domestic and cross-border commercial lending.  The firm announced its expansion into Austin in 2021, marking the firm’s second Texas location, and 11th office nationwide. The Austin office includes attorneys with experience in energy, environmental and natural resources and public policy and government relations. Audrey Momanaee’s arrival follows the recent addition of Energy Partner Stacie Bennett in Austin.
