Chris Caudill Appointed Co-Chair of Houston Young Lawyers Association Pro Bono Committee
Chris Caudill, attorney in the firm’s Houston office and member of the Litigation Practice, has been appointed co-chair of the Pro Bono Committee for the Houston Young Lawyers Association. His appointment will span a one-year term, during which he will focus on expanding the involvement of young lawyers in pro bono volunteer work.
The Pro Bono Committee collaborates closely with Houston Volunteer Lawyers (HVL) and other local legal aid organizations. Its mission is to recruit attorneys for legal clinics and volunteer initiatives that provide essential support to underrepresented community groups in the Houston area.
This year, a significant initiative included participating in the National Urban League Annual Conference Community & Family Day at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. During this event, the group offered free legal advice to the community on a wide range of civil, criminal, and family law matters. Additionally, the committee worked with HVL to gather volunteers to support a veteran’s legal clinic aimed at advising local veterans on various legal issues.
Chris’ appointment will conclude in July, 2024.
Chris is a trial attorney with an extensive background in all aspects of litigation from initial pleadings to trial and appeals. He has successfully handled disputes involving business contracts, multi-million dollar commercial construction projects, products and manufacturing defects, and wrongful death claims, among other areas. He has been named a One-to-Watch by the Best Lawyers in America.
