About Josh
  • What type of matters do you work on most often?

I handle matters in the energy and construction space on both sides of a transaction. My practice includes negotiating and drafting various contracts and assisting with administration throughout the project life-cycle. In addition, I support the ongoing supply chain, logistics and operations needs of my clients. I also counsel clients on streamlining their contracting and legal processes best suited to the workflow of their business operations.

  • What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

Prior to joining Balch, I spent a number of years as in-house counsel for both large and small organizations that have been positioned very differently in their respective markets. Through these experiences, I gained a skillset that allows me to view matters through the eyes of the client and the unique position of each client at the negotiation table. Additionally, my experience in-house was heavily focused on meeting the business objectives of the organization while minimizing legal risks. As such, I strive to thoroughly understand the interworkings of my clients' businesses and find it critical to helping them achieve their goals.
