What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

I have had the opportunity to work at both plaintiff and defense litigation firms prior to Balch. These experiences have given me valuable experience to best serve clients.
How are you involved in your community?

Outside of work, I am involved with Restoration Academy, Cathedral Church of the Advent, Monday Morning Quarterback Club, and Mountain Brook Youth Athletics.
What do you find most exciting about your work?

I find the complex litigation matters and helping clients navigate these issues to be the most exciting part of my work.

Wrongful Death Litigation: Part of a team of Balch attorneys that defended one of the Country’s largest pipe manufactures in a wrongful death case stemming from a railroad fatality.
Appellate Victory in Covid Immunity: Successfully drafted a mandamus petition to the Alabama Supreme Court overturning the trial court’s ruling regarding Covid immunity laws. The successful ruling in the Alabama Supreme Court provides protections for businesses all across the state of Alabama.
Dram Shop Liability: Obtained summary judgment in favor of a defendant bar and restaurant in a wrongful death claim brought pursuant to Alabama’s dram shop liability laws.
Aviation Litigation: Act as plaintiff counsel for a private construction company involving an airplane crash.
Real Property Litigation: Successfully obtained a dismissal for a business landowner in a quiet title action.
