BERT AMASON is a Partner in the firm’s Birmingham office. He concentrates his practice on banking mergers and acquisitions, bank holding company formation, financial holding company regulation, general bank and financial services regulation, general contract work and secured transactions. His clients include large and small banks, insurance companies, and numerous other lenders and borrowers.
Mr. Amason has experience in the following areas:
- Negotiating office, retail and ground leases for landlords and tenants
- Negotiating the acquisition and disposition of developed and undeveloped commercial real estate
- Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code transition and compliance
- Commercial, real estate and agricultural lending

- Compliance with privacy regulations, including the development of business wide privacy policies

Mr. Amason is also a speaker at seminars on Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Amason was a banker in northern Virginia.
