Government Relations

Since our inception over 80 years ago, Balch & Bingham LLP has been involved in politics, government relations and lobbying. The relationships we have developed with Members of Congress and Administration officials over the years have served our clients well. We have also been fortunate in the committee assignments that those Members hold as well as the positions in the Administration to which others were assigned or appointed.

While the Firm maintains its greatest presence in the Southeastern United States, our political activism and involvement are far-reaching and national in scope. Because our legal clientele have historically been largely electric utilities and financial institutions, we have solidified relationships with key members of Congress from across the country. While remaining regionally based, we work with a national focus.
