KEVIN A. McNAMEE is a Partner in the firm’s Energy Regulation & Transactions, Energy and Utility Litigation and Nuclear Energy sections. His practice involves the representation of energy and public utility companies in a wide variety of matters such as: - Negotiate and develop agreements such as nuclear fuel procurement agreements, transmission service agreements, electric power contracts, long- and short-term wholesale power purchases and sales, retail electric supply contracts, generator interconnection agreements, and agreements for the acquisition, development and construction of new electric generating facilities;
- Federal Energy Regulatory Commission proceedings such as rulemaking proceedings, policy initiatives, rate filings and complaint proceedings;
- Open access transmission tariff issues;
- NERC and SERC reliability matters including audits, compliance, reliability standards and procedure;
- Tax issues related to energy agreements;
- Appellate proceedings before the Federal Courts of Appeals arising from regulatory orders; and
- State energy and utility related issues.
