  • Represented a hospital where the only issue was damages. The hospital agreed that it had breached the standard of care but the question for the jury was what injuries were attributable to the breach and what were the extent of the damages. (2016) 
  • Representation of a NW Hospital where patient presented to ER with back pain. Forty eight hours later, the patient  died of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Estate alleged that the ER misdiagnosed the patient. Hospital defended the case by asserting that there was no breach of the standard of care. After a ten day trial verdict entered for the defense.(2015)
  • Defended Hospital in North Alabama where patient alleged that he was wrongfully discharged from hospital. Judgment granted as a matter of law as the patient was not able to show that the alleged breach caused the patient's injuries. Decision upheld on appeal.(2015)
  • Represented hospital in North Alabama where patient alleged that a tubal ligation was performed without her consent. A handwriting expert testified that a signature on the consent was the patient's and a defense verdict was entered. (2013)
  • An ER case, the hospital was alleged to have breached the standard of care by failing to conduct the proper radiological studies and allowed the patient to be discharged. Subsequently the patient developed a hematoma and became paralyzed. The case was defended by attempting to show that there was an intervening act as well as a delay by the family for the patient to return to the hospital. (2013)
  • Defended a manufacturer in Southwest Alabama in an employment case where the employee made claims for age, race, and sex discrimination. After a eight day trial a verdict was entered for the defense. (2010)
