NERC Submits Proposed Reliability Standard TPL-007-1

On January 21, 2015, in Docket No. RM15-11, NERC submitted a petition seeking Commission approval of Proposed Reliability Standard TPL-007-1, Transmission System Planned Performance for Geomagnetic Disturbance Events. NERC is submitting the proposed standard in response to FERC Order No. 779, which directed NERC to develop a reliability standard that requires vulnerability assessment of the impact of geomagnetic disturbance events on the Bulk-Power System.
