FERC Approves Proposed Reliability Standards EOP-011-1 and PRC-010-1

On November 19, 2015, in Docket Nos. RM15-7, RM15-12, and RM15-13, FERC issued Order No. 818, approving Reliability Standards EOP-011-1 (Emergency Operations) and PRC-010-1 (Undervoltage Load Shedding).  These reliability standards revise the currently effective standards for clarity and efficiency.  The Order also approves NERC’s revised definition of Remedial Action Scheme as set forth in the Reliability Standards to add clarity and more consistent application of Reliability Standards.  NERC submitted proposed Reliability Standard EOP-011-1 for approval on December 29, 2014, proposed Reliability Standard PRC-010-1 for approval on February 6, 2015, and a petition seeking approval of the revised definition on February 3, 2015.
