NERC Submits Proposed Reliability Standard PRC-005-6

On November 13, 2015, NERC submitted a petition seeking Commission approval of proposed Reliability Standard PRC-005-6.  This Reliability Standard incorporates previously approved revisions addressing the applicability of PRC-005 to owners of dispersed generation resources, which were not included in prior Reliability Standards.  Proposed Reliability Standard PRC-005-6 also revises the PRC-005 Reliability standard to include supervisory devices and functions associated with applicable autoreclosing relay schemes.  NERC also requests that with the approval of PRC-005-6, previous versions of the PRC-005 Reliability Standard be retired in accordance with its proposed implementation plan.
