NERC Requests Approval of Definitions in Separate Docket

On June 2, 2016, in Docket No. RD16-7, NERC filed a petition for the approval of six NERC Glossary definitions and requested a shortened response period and expedited action on the petition.  NERC had initially filed the proposed definitions in RM16-13 along with proposed Reliability Standards BAL-005-1 and FAC-001-3 and requested, pursuant to the Commission’s directive in Order No. 810, that the proposed definition become effective upon the effective date of BAL-001-2, which is July 1, 2016.  In order to allow the Commission to act independently on the proposed definitions in a separate docket and in an expedited fashion, NERC requested withdrawal of the proposed definition from Docket No. RM16-13 and filed the new petition for approval in the new docket.
