FERC Approves Retirement of PRC-002-NPCC-01

On August 16, 2016, in Docket No. RD16-8, FERC issued a letter order accepting the June 9, 2016 joint petition of NERC and the Northeast Power Coordination Council, Inc. (“NPCC”) requesting approval for the retirement of NPCC Regional Reliability Standard PRC-002-NPCC-01, Disturbance Monitoring. The joint petition explained that the issues addressed by the Regional Reliability Standard are now addressed by continent-wide Reliability Standard PRC-002-2, Disturbance Monitoring and Reporting Requirements, making PRC-002-NPCC-01 redundant.
