On August 23, 2016, in Docket No. RR16-6, NERC submitted a petition seeking Commission approval of the 2017 Business Plan and Budgets for NERC and the Regional Entities. NERC seeks a 2017 budget of $69.6 million. The proposed budget across all entities is $170.9 million, approximately $4 million greater than the 2016 budget.
