NERC Submits Informational Filing Addressing Order 829

On December 15, 2016, in Docket No. RM15-14-002, NERC submitted an informational filing plan to address FERC’s Order No. 829 directing NERC to submit a new or modified Reliability Standard addressing supply chain risk management or industrial control system hardware, software, and computing and networking services associated with bulk electric system operations. The standards are due within one year of the effective date of the order, September 27, 2017. The informational filing included a project plan setting forth NERC’s activities and anticipated milestones for meeting the September 27, 2017 deadline.
