FERC Approves Reliability Standard PRC-012-2

On September 20, 2017, in Docket No. RM16-20-000, FERC issued a final rule approving (i) Reliability Standard PRC-012-2; (ii) the associated violation risk factors and violation severity levels; (iii) the associated implementation plan; (iv) retirement of currently-effective Reliability Standards PRC-015-1 and PRC-016-1; and (v) withdrawal of "pending" Reliability Standards PRC-012-1, PRC-013-1, and PRC-014-1. The purpose of Reliability Standard PRC-012-2 is to ensure that remedial action schemes to not introduce unintentional or unacceptable reliability risks to the bulk electric system.
