On October 27, 2017, in Docket No. RR17-5-000, FERC issued an order accepting NERC’s petition to approve amendments the Western Coordinating Council (WECC) Regional Entity Standards Development Process Manual. The amendments were submitted on June 8, 2017. The revisions realign WECC voting sectors and include streamlined processes, a two-thirds affirmative fractional majority vote for WECC Regional Reliability Standard (RRSs) and WECC Regional Criteria (CRT), clarified treatment of Standard Authorization Requests (SARs), a new section on field tests, and other clarifications.
