FERC Issues Order Modifying LGIA and SGIA

On February 15, 2018, in Docket No. RM16-6-000, FERC issued an order modifying the pro forma Large Generator Interconnection Agreement (LGIA) and the pro forma Small Generator Interconnection Agreement (SGIA) to ensure that rates, terms and conditions of jurisdictional service remain just and reasonable and not unduly discriminatory or preferential. Order No. 842 requires generating facilities to install, maintain and operate equipment capable of providing primary frequency response as a condition of interconnection and establishes uniform minimum operating requirements in the LGIA and SGIA. The order is intended to address the increasing impact of the evolving generation resource mix.
