FERC Approves NERC ROP Revisions

On June 8, 2018, in Docket No. RR17-2-000, FERC issued a final rule approving revisions to the NERC Rules of Procedure (ROP). NERC submitted these revisions on December 9, 2016 and amended the proposed revisions on February 27, 2018. Specifically, FERC approved revisions to section 400 (Compliance Enforcement), Appendix 2 (Definitions Used in the Rules of Procedure), and Appendix 4C (Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program) of its Rules of Procedure to incorporate the Consolidated Hearing Process, which provides a uniform and more streamlined approach to hearings for Regional Entities by giving Regional Entities an option to select NERC to manage the hearing process.
