NERC Submits Amendments to MRO Bylaws

On June 4, 2018, in Docket No. RR18-8-000, NERC submitted a petition for approval of proposed amendments to the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) Bylaws. The amendments are proposed following an order issued by FERC on May 4, 2018 that expanded the MRO footprint due to termination of the Regional Delegation Agreement between Southwest Power Pool, Inc. and NERC. The proposed amendments: (1) add two Regional Directors positions to reflect the geography of the MRO’s expanded footprint on its Board of Directors; (2) increase to the number of independent director positions; and (3) propose ministerial changes to other sections of the MRO Bylaws.
