NERC and NPCC Submit Proposed Regional Reliability Standard PRC-006-NPCC-2

On December 23, 2019, NERC and the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) submitted a joint petition requesting approval of proposed Regional Reliability Standard PRC-006-NPCC-2 (Automatic Underfrequency Load Shedding (USLS)). The purpose of the proposed standard is to establish more stringent and specific NPCC UFLS program requirements. Proposed Regional Reliability Standard PRC-006-NPCC-2 establishes consistent and coordinated requirements for the design, implementation, and analysis of automatic UFLS programs among all NPCC applicable entities.
