NERC and SERC Propose Amendments to SERC’s Bylaws

On December 20, 2019, in Docket No. RR20-2-000, NERC and SERC submitted a joint petition for approval of amendments to SERC Reliability Corporation’s Bylaws. The proposed amendments: (1) transition SERC’s Board Executive Committee into a full, hybrid Board made up of Stakeholder and Independent Directors, (2) add at least three Independent Directors to the SERC Board, (3) formalize the Membership body by transitioning the existing full Board into a Members group that meets at least annually, and (4) revamps the Board Committees. The revisions were approved by the SERC Board of Directors on October 23, 2019. The petition requests that the bylaws take effect on January 1, 2021.
