NERC Submits Petition for Financing ERO SEL

On June 8, 2020, in Docket No. RR19-8-001, NERC submitted a petition requesting the expenditure of $3.8 million to fund the development of the Electric Reliability Organization Enterprise Secure Evidence Locker (ERO SEL). NERC proposes to fund the $3.8 million from $1.8 million of its operating contingency reserves and $2.0 million through debt financing. NERC is requesting these funds as a necessary change in the design of the ERO Enterprise’s ongoing Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP).
