NERC Submits Bylaw Amendments

On October 14, 2020, in Docket No. RR21-1-000, NERC submitted a petition for approval of amended and restated bylaws. The proposed amendments: (1) address governance matters relating to the composition of NERC’s membership Sectors, certain rules relating to the MRC, as well as the qualification of independent trustees for the Board; (2) update certain provisions to conform with applicable state law; and (3) improve internal consistency and introduce ministerial changes within the Bylaws with respect to capitalizing defined terms consistently and removing inoperative provisions. The amendments were approved by the NERC Board on August 20, 2020.
