On September 15, 2021, in Docket No. RD21-6-000, NERC submitted a petition for approval of proposed Reliability Standards CIP-004-7 (Cyber Security – Personnel & Training) and CIP-011-3 (Cyber Security – Information Protection) addressing Bulk Electric System Cyber System Information (BCSI) Access Management. The proposed Reliability Standards improve the reliability of the Bulk Electric System (BES) by clarifying the protections required regarding use of third-party solutions for BCSI.
