NERC Submits Motion to Intervene in NYISO Regional Market Proceeding at FERC

On February 2, 2010, NERC submitted a doc-less motion to intervene in FERC Docket No. ER08-1281 concerning the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) Report on Broader Regional Markets; Long Term Solutions to Lake Erie Loop Flow filed with the Commission on January 12, 2010. As the basis for its intervention, NERC explains that the NYISO’s Report includes proposed regional market solutions predicated on NERC actions and, therefore, NERC has a substantial interest in the proceeding that cannot be represented by any other party.
