FERC Issues NOPR to Approve Regional Reliability Standard IRO-006-WECC-1

On October 21, 2010, in Docket No. RM09-19, FERC issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) to approve regional Reliability Standard IRO-006-WECC-1, which addresses qualified transfer path unscheduled flow relief. However, the Commission noted that IRO-006-WECC-1 raises some concerns about which the Commission requests additional information. Depending upon the responses received, FERC may separately direct WECC in the Final Rule to develop modifications to the regional Reliability Standard to address the issues identified.
