NERC Provides 2010 Compliance Filing in Response to Order 693

On November 30, 2010, in Docket No. RM-06-16, NERC provided a quarterly information filing in response to Paragraph 629 of Order No. 693, which requires NERC to provide a quarterly information filing regarding the time frame to restore power to the auxiliary power systems of U.S. nuclear power plants following a blackout as determined during simulations and drills of system restoration plans. In the filing, NERC also submitted a request to terminate its obligation to file such quarterly informational filings, on the basis that it has fulfilled the intent of the directive.
