ACA International Conference & Expo

Jason Tompkins, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, will present on FDCPA class action and bankruptcy litigation at the ACA International Convention on July 24, 2018, in Nashville, Tennessee. They will present as part of a series on micro-burst legal education, highlighting hot topics of interest to collectors.

Jason’s presentation is entitled, “U.S. Supreme Court FDCPA Decisions and the Pantoja Circuit Split”. Jason will examine the claims, arguments, and potential circuit split in the numerous class actions following Pantoja. Jason will discuss whether the rationale of Midland Funding, LLC v. Johnson, in which Jason was co-counsel before the Supreme Court in 2017, may be extended to Pantoja claims.
