Rich Glaze Co-Authored Article for American Infrastructure Magazine Regarding Funding Water Infrastructure
Rich Glaze, partner in the firm’s Atlanta office and member of the Environmental & Natural Resources Practice, co-authored an article for the September/October 2017 issue of American Infrastructure Magazine regarding sources of funding for water infrastructure. In the article, Rich discussed state revolving fund (SRF) programs established under the federal Clean Water Act, including the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF), as well as the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act of 2014 (WIFIA), which is a federally administered program designed to expand available public financing for water-related projects. The article examines the differences between SRF and WIFIA, and states that WIFIA promises to be a significant funding source for water infrastructure projects, but it will not entirely replace SRF funding.
The article was co-authored by W. Scott McDonald, P.E., vice president and manager of the Water Resources Area for S&ME, Inc.
