Leonard C. Tillman Appointed to Alabama’s Commission on Artificial Intelligence and Associated Technologies

Leonard C. Tillman, partner in Balch’s Birmingham office and member of the Energy Practice, has been appointed as a member of Alabama’s Artificial Intelligence and Associated Technologies Commission. The 25-member Commission will work to study Artificial Intelligence privacy, ethics and other issues. They will also generate a report including policy recommendations relating to Artificial Intelligence. 

At Balch, Leonard provides counsel on utility regulatory policy matters, particularly new smart energy policies and related market developments. Leonard is a member of The GridWise® Architecture Council. The Council was formed by the U.S. Department of Energy to promote and help enable interoperability among the many entities that interact with the nation's electric power system.
