Birmingham Business Journal Names Balch & Bingham ‘Veteran Friendly Employer’ and Partner Greg Cook ‘Veteran of Influence’

Balch & Bingham is proud to be recognized as a 2019 Veteran-Friendly Employer by the Birmingham Business Journal. Greg Cook, partner and chair of the Class Action Litigation Practice, was also named a Veteran of Influence by the Birmingham Business Journal. The firm, along with our veteran attorneys and staff, were recognized at a ceremony on Oct. 17.

A former member of the United States Air Force (Captain, USAF 1984-88), Greg Cook served as a staff officer in the Pentagon, where he programmed, analyzed, and acquired software and computer hardware. He joins three other Balch attorneys and alumni who have previously been named a Veteran of Influence by the Birmingham Business Journal -- Marcus Chatterton, Will Hill Tankersley, and Jeremy Glassford. Balch is incredibly proud of Greg, Marcus, Will Hill, and Jeremy as well as their achievements on behalf of the firm and nation.

“Balch & Bingham is extremely proud of the veterans who call our firm home,” said Managing Partner Stan Blanton. “We have worked hard to ensure that our policies and culture create an environment that enhances their ability to succeed.

Balch has proudly worked to cultivate a culture that encourages, celebrates, and recognizes military service. Balch is currently home to over 20 veterans who represent almost every branch of the military and contribute positively to the firm every day.
