Scott Andress Discusses Mississippi Casino Gaming and Lottery Laws in the 2020 Edition of The International Comparative Legal Guides

Scott Andress, partner in the Jackson office and chair of the Gaming Practice, recently discussed casino gaming and lottery regulations in the state of Mississippi in The International Comparative Legal Guides (ICLG). 

In the article, Scott analyzes key areas of interest, including: authorities and legislation, licensing and restrictions, digital gaming, liability and anticipated reforms. Scott highlights the entities that regulate gaming. He notes the application process, restrictions for lawful permits and regulatory licenses, as well as taxes and social responsibility. Qualifications and permitted activity for the use of online, digital and electronic gaming are also examined. Lastly, Scott outlines responsible parties for gaming liability and enforcement, as well as forecasted reforms to gaming laws.
