Leonard Tillman Re-elected to GridWise® Architecture Council

Leonard Tillman, partner in the Birmingham office and member of the Energy Practice, was re-elected as a member of the GridWise^® Architecture Council in January of 2020. The Council was formed by the U.S. Department of Energy to promote and help enable interoperability among the many entities that interact with the nation's electric power systems. Leonard has been a member of this important 13-member Council since 2018. 

In addition to his re-election, Leonard will co-lead a panel discussion at the GridWise^® Architecture Council meeting on February 5, 2020, at the Orlando Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The panel will discuss possible Future States of the Electric Grid, including emerging trends and regulatory issues. 

At Balch, Leonard provides counsel on utility regulatory policy matters, particularly new smart energy policies and related market developments.
