Mark Alexander to Serve on Board of Trustees for the Leadership Gulf Coast Program of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce

Mark Alexander, partner in Balch’s Gulfport office and member of the Litigation Practice, will serve on a the Board of Trustees for the 2020-2021 Leadership Gulf Coast Program of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce. Mark was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2019 and is serving the second year of a three-year term.
 
Leadership Gulf Coast, a program of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, is designed to foster the talents of established and emerging leaders and integrate their work into the community. The primary objective of the program is to identify and understand the current needs and opportunities within the community, and create a communication network among its leaders to initiate and support meaningful action for the improvement and sustainability of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  Since its inception in 1990, over 1,000 leaders have graduated from the program.
 
At Balch, Mark’s diverse practice includes liability and casualty litigation, serving governmental agencies, business litigation, workers' compensation defense, construction law, eminent domain, and other real estate issues and creditor's rights, including loan workouts, foreclosure actions and collections.
 
Mark remains an active member of the Gulfport community, having served Trinity United Methodist Church as vice-chairman of its Board of Trustees. Mark is a member of the Board of Directors for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of South Mississippi, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club - Forrest Heights Center.
