Doug Kauffman Presents at Alabama Self-Insured Association

Join Balch & Bingham at the Alabama Self-Insurers Association’s summer conference on August 11-13 in Miramar Beach, Florida. The three-day event features a variety of sessions to help self-insured companies in Alabama understand worker’s compensation law and ensure equitable coverage. 

Doug Kauffman, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Labor & Employment Practice, will deliver the presentation, “The Basics for Supervisory Training Associated with Medical Inquiries and Information.”

In his presentation, Doug will outline what new supervisors do and do not need to know about medical conditions, how to train managers to respect confidentiality and medical information, and common manager misconceptions about dealing with employees with medical conditions.
