I represent both corporate and individual clients who have criminal or civil legal matters involving compliance with statutory or regulatory government authority.

I work with clients who have become involved in legal disputes with government authorities that could result in significant monetary loss or imposition of fines and possible allegations of civil or criminal fraud.
What do you see on the horizon in your area of practice?
The increasing potential for exposure to monetary penalties and possible allegations of criminal acts for businesses and individuals who find themselves in a dispute with governmental authorities.
What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?
My experience as an Assistant United States Attorney, a Judge Advocate, and Director of Enforcement for the Alabama Securities Commission give me a unique insight into how to avoid and to mitigate problems that can arise when disputes occur with either the United States government or State government.
