  • What types of clients do you represent?

    I represent electric utilities, generators, and other market participants in both ERCOT and non-ERCOT areas in Texas who need to understand and comply with state energy regulatory requirements. 

  • What types of matters do you work on most often?

    I frequently work with our utility clients on transmission line certification proceedings and ratemaking matters and work with our nonutility clients to provide transactional support and to help them understand and address regulatory requirements and market structure issues. 

  • Which courts or agencies do you most often appear before on behalf of clients?

    I most often represent clients before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and commonly provide support to our appellate team in handling appeals of regulatory decisions before state courts.

Select Matters

  • Transmission Line Certification: Representation of electric utility in contested cases to obtain approval of the first two 500-kV transmission lines to be constructed in Texas in more than 50 years reflecting a projected total investment exceeding $1.5 billion.
  • Tariff Approvals: Represented electric utility in contested case to obtain state regulatory approval of tariffs for four electric vehicle-related pilot projects.
  • Transactional Support: Served as local counsel on energy regulatory matters multiple times in support of generators and LNG developers seeking project financing.
