About Mitch
Q&A
  • What do you find most exciting about your work?

Using my accounting background, I most enjoy learning how a client’s business operates and developing a litigation strategy that best serves its strategic and operational goals.

  • What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

Prior to re-joining the firm, I served as Associate Executive Counsel to Governor Brian P. Kemp. In that role, I helped guide his administration’s legislative packages through the General Assembly, advised on litigation in which the state had an interest, assisted with judicial appointments, and worked closely with state agencies on telecommunications, tax policy, banking, transportation, and economic development issues.

I also served as a law clerk to Justices Sarah Hawkins Warren and John J. Ellington on the Georgia Supreme Court. In that role, I helped the justices draft opinions and analyze issues of first impression before the court.
