  • Mandamus Granted: Successfully obtained a writ of mandamus from the Fifth Circuit to protect client from an improper district court ruling that would have required production of privileged communications. (In re Sanderson Farms, LLC, 2025 WL 2025358 (5th Cir. July 15, 2025)) 
  • Davis-Bacon Act Guidance: Provided advice to clients regarding retroactive compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act on projects funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. (2024 & 2025)
  • ADA Lawsuit: Won Motion to Dismiss for failure to state a claim. (2024)
  • Dismissal Sanction: Argued and won a Motion for Sanctions seeking dismissal as the sanction for failure to respond to discovery. (2024) 
  • EEO-1: Compiled and submitted EEO-1 reports for client. (2024 & 2025) 
  • FLSA Exemptions: Performed a company-wide review of FLSA exempt classifications and proposed reclassifications of some job categories from exempt to non-exempt. (2023)
  • National Origin & Religious Discrimination: Managed litigation through discovery and negotiated a favorable settlement for the client. (2022) 
  • FMLA Audit: Conducted extensive audit of FMLA practices and policies across multiple locations and provided recommendations for best practices. (2022) 
  • Negligent Hiring: Obtained summary judgment for employer on negligent hiring claim and successfully defended appeal. (Keen v. Miller Environmental Group, Inc., 702 F.3d 239 (5th Cir. 2012))
  • FLSA Donning / Doffing: Managed MDL litigation involving thousands of plaintiffs who opted-in to the FLSA donning and doffing lawsuit, including discovery, dispositive motions, and eventual settlement. (2008-2010) 
  • Davis-Bacon Act Compliance: Provided guidance and advice to power company on DBA compliance during construction of nuclear power plant. (2010-2016)
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Act: Successfully defended a public company in a whistleblower investigation of alleged accounting and securities fraud. (2010)
  • Jury Trial: Obtained jury verdict for ambulance service on contract issue. (2010)
  • EEOC Charges: Successfully defended numerous EEOC charges (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, retaliation) for a variety of clients.
