    I represent companies involved in transactions involving energy facilities, as well as companies in the oil and natural gas industry.

  • What types of matters do you work on most often?

    I frequently work with clients on due diligence review of local, state, and federal environmental law as applicable to transactions involving energy facilities; daily review and updates regarding state and federal environmental developments; review and comment on Texas and federal rulemakings involving environmental issues; and assisting clients with environmental compliance.

  • Advice and counsel to energy clients regarding state and federal compliance issues, appropriate use of Texas Environmental, Health, and Safety Audit Privilege Act, and permitting issues related to state underground injection well requirements.
  • Advice and counsel to parties to transactions involving energy sites, including renewable energy facilities, including due diligence regarding local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
  • Advice and counsel to energy trade association regarding state and federal environmental developments, state and federal rulemaking analysis and comment, and legislative developments affecting environmental law.
  • Advice and counsel to underground water districts regarding state and federal environmental developments, permitting requirements, and legislative issues; also advice regarding water rights issues and relations between client and neighboring jurisdictions.
  • Advice and counsel to energy export facilities regarding requests for contested case hearings at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and assistance with permit issues related to site operation and expansion.
