Kye C. Handy Moderates Capital Area Bar Association Diversity Committee Panel on Workplace Inclusivity

Kye C. Handy, attorney in the firm’s Jackson office and member of the Litigation Practice, moderated a Capital Area Bar Association (CABA) Diversity Committee panel discussion on "Inclusivity in the Workplace: How to Create a Culture of Inclusivity" on February 18, 2020. Kye serves as diversity chair for CABA, which provides members with networking and CLE opportunities, as well as ways to support the state of Mississippi through advocacy and legal education committees. The organization also promotes professionalism, pro bono service, volunteer work, and diversity initiatives for members. 

Walter Boone, partner in the firm’s Jackson office and member of the Litigation Practice, also served as a member of the panel.

Kye focuses her practice on general and commercial litigation, with experience in personal injury matters and municipality defense, and a strong working knowledge of various types of chancery and probate matters. She regularly assist clients with employment discrimination suits and navigates complex issues involving the Mississippi Tort Claims Act and EEOC regulations. 

Currently, Kye serves as the Lawyer in Every Mississippi Classroom Chair as part of The Mississippi Bar Young Lawyers Division. The program offers schools (Kindergarten through 12th Grade) the opportunity for a lawyer to provide outside legal resources to teachers and/or students. She is also recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyers, Rising Star.
