Leonard Tillman to Co-Lead Panel on Smart Buildings and Energy Efficiency at 2020 International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating (AHR) Exposition

Leonard Tillman, partner in the Birmingham office and member of the Energy Practice, will co-lead a panel discussion at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating (AHR) Exposition on February 4, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. The topic for discussion is “Smart Buildings as Smart Grid Transactive Energy Hubs: Enabling New Approaches for Greater Energy Efficiency.” This educational seminar will be facilitated by the GridWise® Architecture Council (GWAC). The seminar offers a summary of the upcoming 2020 GWAC white paper publication, Smart Buildings as a Transactive Energy Hub. 

At Balch, Leonard provides counsel on utility regulatory policy matters, particularly new smart energy policies and related market developments. Leonard is a member of The GridWise® Architecture Council. The Council was formed by the U.S. Department of Energy to promote and help enable interoperability among the many entities that interact with the nation's electric power system.

In January of 2020, Leonard was re-elected as a member of the GridWise® Architecture Council.
