Marcus Chatterton to Moderate Panel on When and How Businesses Should Battle Competitors on the Internet at ABA Corporate Counsel Seminar
Marcus Chatterton, partner in the Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, will moderate a panel discussion at the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation Corporate Counsel CLE Seminar on February 14, 2020 in Carlsbad, California. The panel will analyze the topic, “When (and How) to Battle your Enemies on the Internet: Why You Should Go After Impostors, Trolls, Hackers, and Competitors That are Breaking the Law.” Further explanation on ransomware attacks, pseudonymous lawsuits, defamation, and frauds impersonating employees or corporate accounts will also be explored. Corporate lawyers will gain knowledge on when to pursue scammers, hackers, trolls, impostors and competitors on the internet.
Marcus is a tech-minded litigator experienced in intellectual property, social media, smart grid, electronic data, and general technology issues. He represents large and small businesses, inventors, and creative clients in copyright, patent, trademark, and trade secret disputes. Marcus is chair of the Social Media Subcommittee in the ABA Section of Litigation’s Intellectual Property Committee. He is also a member of the Section’s Content Management Committee.
