Scott Grover Elected to Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham Board of Directors
Scott Grover, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Energy Practice, has been elected as a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham (VLB) Board of Directors for 2020. As a member, Scott will help further the VLB’s mission of offering pro bono legal counsel through its clinics and programs to support VLB’s mission of providing equal access to justice for low-income families. Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham was founded in 1994 by members of the Birmingham Bar Association.
At Balch, Scott represents his clients’ interests before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, state public utility commissions, as well as in commercial transactions, legislative matters and litigation. As part of his practice, he counsels investor-owned electric utilities on a range of matters concerning the electricity wholesale and retail markets and the natural gas wholesale markets.
